The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) coordinates activities to create more resilient communities. The Sendai Framework for DRR 2015-2030 is the roadmap for the UN programme. This panel session will draw on the expertise of international experts engaged implementing the framework from an EH perspective. The session will give practical initiatives worldwide making communities safer. Increasing climate change impacts on communities can be mitigated and be integrated into policy at all levels. Preliminary discussions suggest 1 hour session is required giving delegates an insight and resources to integrate environmental health aspects into DRR within their communities.
