The largest area in the world covered by a single health authority, Western Australia presents some of the most challenging environments to navigate when it comes to managing delicate vaccines which were in high demand as part of the global response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Immunisation programs are considered one of the most important public health achievements in the world, so exactly how transferrable are the skills of an EHO and how can the profession contribute to them? This presentation will explore the fundamentals of vaccine management, and the demands of responding to an urgent Public Health emergency.
