Professor Peter Le Souëf is an academic scientist/paediatrician with international expertise in climate change and child health, global child health, and respiratory and infectious diseases. He has published 317 peer-reviewed papers and his recognition as an international research leader is evidenced by over 280 invited scientific presentations in 46 countries.
His Future Child Health research group focusses on defining the effect of environmental deterioration (including climate change) and overpopulation on children’s health nationally and globally using geospatial studies and advanced statistical modelling. For this work, his research group has won 7 research awards in the last 2 years and he is a chief investigator on NHMRC and Wellcome grants.
