Jason is a qualified environmental health officer and has been employed in various environmental health practice, project and leadership roles in local government over the past 15 years. Jason has recently joined La Trobe University as a Lecturer in the Department of Public Health, tasked with developing and instating an Environmental Health major as part of the Bachelor of Health Science. He is currently completing his PhD by researching food safety inspection practices and building best practice guidelines for practitioners. He is passionate about strengthening environmental health practice and is excited to help prepare the next generation of environmental health officers to be capable and confident on the front line of health protection.
