Description

Uganda’s Ministry of Health conducted a climate Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment (VAA) and used the findings to develop a Health National Adaptation Plan (H-NAP). The H-NAP has ten strategic components based on WHO framework for building a resilient and low-carbon health system. The Country will use the H-NAP to build a Climate resilient and low-carbon health system to minimize GHG emissions and other negative environmental health impacts to deliver quality care and protect the health and well-being of present and future generations. This paper therefore aims at sharing experiences of developing Uganda’s H-NAP and implementation roadmap.
