Description

The workshop will consist of two parts:

  1. External communication: The Crisis and Emergency Response communication (CERC) principles, how to apply them (e.g. wildfires, extreme heat, debunking misinformation), and an exercise.
  2. Internal communication: Focused on a radiation emergency, the importance of internal communication, preparing coordinated external messaging, and the game "This is a Test" where participants will play as leaders (public health, public information officer, fire and police, hospital coordinator) during the radiation emergency and collaborate and partner on the response.
